Atlanta, GA, United States (AHN) – Home Depot will hire 60,000 workers for its “Spring Black Friday,” an event the company successfully began last year to mark the start of the home building shopping season.
The world’s largest home improvement retailer will start hiring employees this month through March. In Atlanta, where the company is based, 1,500 workers will be trained.
The new employees will stay for about three months or longer. They will support business during four weekends this spring, when prices of gardening products, lawn care equipment, grills and patio furniture are on sale.
The “Spring Black Friday” rush is similar to the traditional Black Friday that marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
“Hiring seasonal associates and offering door busting deals will ensure our customers have all of the service, know-how and value they need as they look to take on outdoor projects to improve the appearance of their home,” Craig Menear, executive vice president for merchandising, said in a statement.
