Scentsy Family Foundation Warms Up to Sunshine Kids

Scentsy co-owners Orville and Heidi Thompson built their flameless candle business around the core principles of simplicity, authenticity and value.

After five extremely successful years the Thompsons created the Scentsy Family Foundation to further their mission of “contributing more than you take.”

“The Foundation was created to offer philanthropic support through a combination of scholarships, charitable-cause products and direct donations toward individual efforts and community-based causes,” said Orville Thompson. “It’s the natural extension of that philosophy and the Scentsy mission into a broader level of philanthropy and community support.”

Sunshine Kids
The first charitable candle warmer from the Scentsy Family Foundation is Sunshine Kids, created to support the work of The Sunshine Kids Foundation.

Fighting cancer is a lonely and daunting experience especially for children. Since 1982, The Sunshine Kids Foundation has provided free, positive and exciting group activities for children receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America. In support of their efforts, Scentsy introduced their first charitable cause warmer, Sunshine Kids.

Since its introduction on March 1, the Sunshine Kids warmer has been a Top 10 selling electric candle for Scentsy, having raised more than $100,000 for the organization in just two months.

Contact a Scentsy party consultant to purchase a Sunshine Kids warmer and brighten a young life.

The Sunshine Kids warmer is available through August 2010.

Selecting a Cause
Each spring and fall, the Scentsy Family Foundation takes nominations from Scentsy ‘s independent consultants for a charitable cause or organization to support through the creation of a distinctive warmer in its honor.

Each limited-edition warmer is available for purchase from local Scentsy consultants for only six months and 100 percent of the net profits from all sales are donated directly to the charity or cause.
